The Missouri Democratic Party will hold its State Convention on Saturday, May 10, in Columbia, Missouri, at the Columbia Holiday Inn Expo Center. Delegate and Alternate Registration begins at 9:00 am and ends at 11:00 am. All Cass County delegates and alternates for both Clinton and Obama need to contact Don Long at 816-380-5270 or email Don612610@aol.com to let him know if you will or will not be attending. We need a strong showing of Cass Co. Democrats so we want to make sure all our positions are filled.
One of the most important events at the State Convention will be selecting the 16 at-large delegates for the National Convention this August. While selecting these delegates is important, this event really signifies the kick-off to the 2008 campaign so we can bring about the change this state and this country so desperately deserve.
Another important duty will be the election, or re-election, of our Missouri DNC committee people. The closing time above is not guaranteed.
