Friends,
There is a lot of good buzz about our upcoming Green Fest, which is this Saturday. Please have a look at the flyer for details: http://checkeredpastmusic.com/ftp/CP-TM-LizorFlyer-v5-1.pdf
Here are a couple of updates.
If you search for directions on MapQuest or Google maps you may receive erroneous directions because those sites seem to think there is a street called Belmont where no such street exists.
The correct directions if you are coming on I-435 are on the flyer:
· Exit on Eastwood Trafficway west.
· Left on Blue Parkway.
· Immediate right onto Bennington.
· Right on 58th Street.
· From that turn it's only about 2/10 of a mile - look for signs marking the driveway.
If you are coming from the east on 63rd Street:
· Right on Blue Parkway.
· Left on Bennington (just before Eastwood Trafficway on the right).
· Right on 58th Street.
· From that turn it's only about 2/10 of a mile - look for signs marking the driveway.
From Midtown and nearby locations:
· Take Volker Blvd east.
· Volker turns into Swope Parkway.
· Swope Parkway turns into Blue Parkway.
· Right on Bennington.
· Right on 58th Street.
· From that turn it's only about 2/10 of a mile - look for signs marking the driveway.
Also, if you are out and about in the Crossroads District for First Friday this Friday, September 5, stop by and check us out at the Bad Seed at 1909 McGee. Checkered Past will be playing there from around 6:00 PM to around 9:00 PM, and we will have additional information available about the Green Fest the following day.
Thanks for your support, and I hope to see you this weekend!

Friends, Farmers and Local-Food Lovers:
When you come to our Green Fest on Saturday, Sept. 6, please bring photos of your farm, garden, lovely food and anything else you think might be great in a scrapbook to take to Terra Madre. Because Checkered Past will bear greetings in the form of songs and also a scrapbook filled with salutations and photos from the Heartland, we'd love to have you be a part of that.
Bring prints you don't need back of photos showing your green, growing things or the beautiful food you've created close to home.
If you want to email photos (taken at at least 300 DPI) to K.C. Compton, the Scrapbook Tsarina, please send them to: KC@KCCompton.com. And send one photo in one email at a time since they'll be relatively large.
Love and Rocket!
