Body: There will be three walks for Claire in Cass County this weekend. If you want to make a change in the U S Senate this is the crucial volunteer time. If all the people who have said they will vote for her actually get out and vote, she will win. We will knock on doors and remind them. Meet at the east side of the Price Chopper parking lot at 58 and 71 hiways in Belton (second exit from 71). Body: Come join the staff of the Kansas Coordinated Campaign as we make the last push for Victory in 2006! Hundreds of dedicated volunteers just like you are needed to go door-to-door on Election Day. We have several trainings scheduled in our Field Offices located throughout Kansas. Body: Democracy for the Heart of America is hosting a social, musical, GOTV rally, fundraising, Blue Wave Party! Another splash to turn Kansas and Missouri BLUE. Toto's Coffees and Cafe 6915 Johnson Dr. Mission, KS, 66202 6:30-9:30pm Toto's has great selection of coffees and teas, as well as sandwiches, quiche, ice cream and delicious desserts. Purely progressive political music will be provided by local songwriters Jim Herrmann, John Mitchell, Forest Whitlow, and more. Body: Abi is a 3 year old spitfire from Harrisonville who has William's syndrome. She is currently recovering from open heart surgery. The medical expenses have become very high for her family and several surgical procedures are yet to come. There will be a benefit auction for Abi at the Elk's lodge in Harrisonville on Saturday, Nov 4, from 8 to 11pm. Tickets are $10 each for adults, $5 for children. Refreshments will be served. Body: The 63rd Street Patriots meet every Tuesday from 5-6PM in the median at 63rd and Ward Parkway. This is a great location to educate the public, as there is a good flow of rush hour traffic heading south on Ward Parkway. Body: Many have heard of the alleged voting irregularities that occurred during the presidential elections of 2000 and 2004. Until now, these incidents have gone under-reported and are commonly written-off as insignificant rumors or unintentional mishaps resulting from an overburdened election system. The documentary chronicles the recurring patterns of voter disenfranchisement from Florida 2000 to Ohio 2004 while following the story of Georgia Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney. McKinney not only took an active role investigating these election debacles, but has found herself in the middle of her own after publicly questioning the Bush Administration about the 9/11 terrorist attacks. Body: Wyandotte County Third Saturday Democratic Breakfast meets on the third Saturday morning of each month at The Woodlands. Speaking this month will be former state representatives Bill and Kathy Reardon. Bill was a long time teacher at Bishop Meige high school, and is currently a lobbyst for USD 500. Kathy is a former state vice chairperson for the Kansas Democratic Party. A buffet is available at 8:30 am and the program begins at 9:15. Cost for the buffet is ten dollars, which includes tax, service and tip; seven dollars for students and those with limited income. | ||
