The North Cass Progressives will meet on Thursday, January 18 at 6:30 PM, at the Allen Bank and Trust Company in Raymore.

This will be a planning meeting to decide what we want to accomplish in 2007 and into 2008. Be sure to bring some great ideas and lots of enthusiasm! New members are always welcome.

The January Wyandotte County 3rd Saturday Breakfast meets
January 20 at The Woodlands, 9700 Leavenworth Rd. Speaking this month will be Kansas State Senator Chris Steineger and State Representative Valdenia Winn.

A buffet will be avaiable at 8:30. The program starts at 9:15. Cost for the buffet is $10, (which includes tax, service, and tip) $7 for students/limited income.

Join us for an evening of original progressive political music, with a great lineup of artists, at Toto's coffeehouse.

Performers will include Jim Herrmann, David Hakan, Jim Abel, Checkered Past, Joe Carr, John Mitchell, and ZZRose.

DFHA offers a Free movie screening each month! In January we are showing "Who Killed the Electric Car." This is a newly released movie about the destruction of an alternative vehicle that could have had, and still could have, a significant positive effect on the global warming that is occuring here on Earth. The Cass County Central Democratic Committee will meet on Thursday, January 25, at Partners Restaurant in the Harrisonville Mill Walk Mall.

Dinner begins at 7:00 ($10), and the meeting begins at 7:30.

The speaker will be Gary Mallory, Cass County Presiding Commissioner. He will give a brief update on Cass County 2007 issues, along with "Who We Are as Democrats."

At our February meeting (Saturday, Feb. 17th), we will have
Kellie Robaugh from the Greene Co. Planned Parenthood as a guest speaker. She is a dynamic person. Invite anyone you know that might be interested. She will speak for about 20 minutes and will answer questions. Would like to have a good crowd. Feb 17th at 11:00a.m. for lunch and 11:30a.m for meeting at Simms Restaurant in Buffalo.
