The new name for North Cass Progressives is Cass County Democracy for America, CCDFA for short. We have held meetings many different places in Raymore and Belton, looking for the perfect spot for our group. This month, we will meet at the Pizza Shoppe, 17041 Bel Ray Blvd in Belton. Next month we will meet at Ryan's Steakhouse in Raymore. The meeting place may change, but our mission stays the same - to grow our progressive democratic grassroots and take back our country.

On July 2 we will show When I Came Home. When I Came Home is a film about homeless veterans in America, from those who served in Vietnam to those returning from the current war in Iraq. The film reveals the challenges faced by returning combat veterans and the battle many must fight to receive the benefits promised to them. When I Came Home exposes a failing system and our veterans’ fight for survival after returning home from war.

This Thursday's movie is "Hacking Democracy" Join the 'underground movement' at the Space Center limestone caves--Hwy 291 and Independence Avenue. Left cave entrance. Follow the "Ron Paul" signs inside the caves. (Go from entrance following "ONE WAY" signs to the T intersection. Turn left and go another 300 feet to where the cars are parked.) Commiserate with activists before and after the movie. Popcorn and water/sodas are provided. Pick up your Ron Paul yard signs and bumper stickers. Enjoy access to our library of DVDs and CDs.
