Join us on the last Saturday of July at the Creekside Bar & Grill for another edition of What Would Woody Do? The Creekside is owned and operated by a good union firefighter family. We'll be in the back room, but all the food and drink served at the Creekside will be available to us.

Come and watch on the big screen this Tuesday's AFL-CIO Democratic Presidential Candidates Forum at Screenland Theatre! This event is free to the public.
The forum is scheduled from 6 pm to 7:30 on MSNBC. It will be replayed immediately after, in case you miss the early start.
Screenland is located at 1656 Washington, one block west of 17th and Broadway.
A full bar, with beer, wine and mixed drinks, will be available. Pop, popcorn and candy are also available in the concession area. Food will be permitted to be brought in by attendees.

The Cass Co. Women's Democratic Club will meet on Thursday, August 9, at noon at the Pearl Street Grill on the Harrisonville Square. Members of the newly formed Cass Co. Democracy for America (CCDFA) will give an outline of their mission and goals for the club and how those things will work together to help get Democrats elected in 2008. The August Wyandotte County Third Saturday Democratic Breakfast meets this Saturday, August 18 at The Woodlands, 9700 Leavenworth Road. This month our speaker will be Kansas Attorney General Paul Morrison.
The Attorney General is a 1972 graduate of Washington High School.

A buffet is available at 8:15 am and the program begins at 9:15. Cost for the buffet is ten dollars, which includes tax, service and tip; seven dollars for students and those with limited income.

The featured speaker for August will be Paul LeVota, newly elected Minority Speaker of the Missouri House of Representatives.
