Karen Meador, the new administrator of the Belton Driver License Bureau, would like to invite everyone to her official opening on Thursday, November 19, from 8:00-10:00 am, with a ribbon cutting at 9:00. The license fee office is located at 325 Main Street, Belton, Missouri.

The Wyandotte County Third Saturday Democratic Breakfast will meet this Saturday, November 21st at Granny's Chicken Ranch, 1340 Village West Parkway. Granny's is located behind Famous Dave's Barbeque, in the former W.J. McBride's Irish Pub location in Village West.
Congressman Dennis Moore will be our speaker.
An extended breakfast buffet is available at 8:15 am and the program begins at 9:00. Cost for the buffet is ten dollars, which includes tax, service and tip; seven dollars for students and those with limited income.

We have a Mel Carnahan Meeting scheduled for the 3rd Saturday
of the month, November 21st at 11:00a.m. at Simon B's in Bolivar.
We are wondering how many members are planning to attend.
We will be discussing the possibility of a fund raising event with
some of the Democratic committees sometime in 2010 and will
be collecting monies and food for the food bank at Prairie Chapel
which serves Dallas and Hickory counties. Please let us know
as soon as possible.

Also, this Saturday night the KCK NAACP sponsors the 91st annual Freedom Fund banquet at Jack Reardon Convention Center, Fifth Street and Minnesota Avenue. The banquet's theme this year is NAACP: Bold Dreams, Big Victories and the speaker is Kansas University Chancellor Bernadette Gray-Little. Tickets are $50 and are available at the office- 281-7900. The banquet begins at 6 pm.

The Fourth Annual John and Robert Kennedy Memorial Dinner will be at 6:30 pm, Sunday, November 29 at Jalisco's Mexican Restaurant, 5000 State Avenue. This year we will honor the many achievements of the late Edward Kennedy. The event is informal and attendees are responsible for the cost of their dinner.
