It's time to celebrate the Democrat's return to the majority on Capitol Hill!  Let's get together after the New Year and enjoy the moment. 

DFHA is sponsoring a party on Saturday, January 6, 2007 starting at 6:30 at the Westport Flea Market party room.  We'll eat some of the city's best burgers, drink some cold refreshments, and make our progressive activist resolutions for 2007.  Be thinking about what we, as a progressive community, want to try to do locally, as well as nationally, in the coming year.  We must hold the Democratic Congress' feet to the fire, and also work towards '08.  Let's not lose any momentum.

Democracy for the Heart of America is hosting a social, musical, GOTV rally, fundraising, Blue Wave Party! Another splash to turn Kansas and Missouri BLUE. Toto's Coffees and Cafe 6915 Johnson Dr. Mission, KS, 66202 6:30-9:30pm Toto's has great selection of coffees and teas, as well as sandwiches, quiche, ice cream and delicious desserts. Purely progressive political music will be provided by local songwriters Jim Herrmann, John Mitchell, Forest Whitlow, and more. So come join us to rally and get out the vote and turn our states BLUE!! PDF Fliers are attached below that you can print off and distribute. There is a color version, which is beautiful, and a gray version suitible for wide distribution. Print some copies and share with your friends!

TWO bands--Chico Vega & DeDe of the legendary Drifters, who rose to fame with the single "Under the Boardwalk," and opening for them in the outdoor concert venue will be Death May Die, a hometown favorite!
