To the voters of District 25,
This time around - in this election- the citizens of Kansas are very clearly concerned about three issues: education, affordable health care and growing the economy.
That’s it. If the legislature can figure out how to deal effectively with those three issues, it will be a great success. They haven’t yet.
Instead of providing a great education for our children, they are playing political games, struggling over what should be an obvious choice for the future of Kansas.
Governor Sebelius proposed health care for every child from birth to age five, yet no bill was passed. A proposal to help small businesses provide health insurance for their employees was also rejected.
